Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP EWM Development Architect to join a project for a leading client in the automotive industry. The consultant will play a key role in designing and implementing custom EWM solutions within an S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition environment. The role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, ABAP development skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into high-quality technical specifications.

Fluency in German and English is required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect custom EWM solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders and functional consultants.
  • Create detailed technical specifications based on business requirements and functional documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers during the implementation phase.
  • Develop and implement custom functionalities primarily in ABAP within the S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition environment.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure development standards and best practices are followed.
  • Perform testing and validation of implemented solutions to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including EWM functional experts, project managers, and customer IT teams.
  • Support issue resolution, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of EWM processes.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an SAP EWM Development Architect or Senior EWM Developer in complex project environments.
  • Strong technical expertise in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and deep understanding of EWM business processes.
  • Solid hands-on experience with ABAP development in S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition.
  • Ability to design and document technical specifications and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with custom developments, enhancements, and integrations in the EWM landscape.
  • Familiarity with CIS (Customer Innovation Services, formerly IBSO) projects or similar customer innovation contexts is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in an international, remote team setup.
  • Languages: Fluent German and English (spoken and written).
